ETHICON, INC. partnered with MAP International to provide products to physicians who donate their professional skills in support of overseas medical missions, under the direction of a qualified charitable non-profit organization.
ETHICON, INC. selected MAP International to review and process product requests from healthcare professionals participating in overseas medical missions.
MAP International understands the political and cultural nuances of the countries where contributions are made. It has a network of organizations which delivers medical services and understands which products are permitted into countries served.
In the interest of providing better health care for medically under-served persons, ETHICON, INC. contributed the suture products and the majority of handling expenses required for distribution. Each physician is welcome to place one order per year at a $50 service fee per order, plus shipping. There is also a 250 unit cap on each order.
Every day, ETHICON, INC. donates life-saving medical devices to help thousands of people across the world, in response to disasters, medical relief efforts and basic healthcare needs in under-served communities. An important part of our product-giving program is the support ETHICON, INC. gives to healthcare professionals and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs).

Most ETHICON, INC. orders are filled within three weeks of MAP receiving all completed documents as required for processing, depending on product availability. |
